CONDENSED MATTER PHYSICS

Research in Condensed Matter Physics encompasses a broad spectrum of topics and methodologies aimed at exploring the properties of both naturally occurring and human-made materials. Through experimental and theoretical approaches, our goal is to push the boundaries of understanding in these systems and assess their potential for driving innovative technologies. Key scientific themes include strongly correlated electron systems, topological states, semiconductors and semiconductor devices, complex and nonlinear dynamics, nanostructured and low-dimensional materials, soft and biological matter, solid Earth materials, as well as exotic wave phenomena.
