EMERITUS PROFESSORS

The title of Professor Emeritus is conferred upon faculty members who have served the Department of Physics as Full Professors for an extended period. Recipients are recognized for their exceptional educational contributions at NKUA — including the successful supervision of advanced doctoral dissertations — and for conducting internationally acclaimed research in their fields. Moreover, they have played a vital role in the overall administration and development of the University and many have also made significant contributions across a broad spectrum of activities (Decision of the Assembly of the Department of Physics on 03.02.2025).
