Course Content

• Introduction and overview of software defined networking and how it is changing the way communications networks are managed, maintained, and secured.
• Algorithms and mechanisms for the operation and sustainability of SDN-enabled networks.
• Typical SDN architecture which consists of three layers: A. Application layer, B. Control layer, C. Infrastructure layer.
• Mechanisms and interfaces for the communication between the layers (northbound APIs and southbound APIs).
